Craig Chappelle
Craig Chappelle was a founding member of DCW Inc and its chairman for ten years. A semi-retired businessman, his former life includes journalism, advertising, professional photography and graphic design. He was a Denmark shire councillor from 1996-2004. He has been active in environmental matters for 35 years, and is a foundation life member of the Denmark Environment Centre.

Paul Llewellyn

Paul Llewellyn has more than 30 years' experience in environmental planning and management, and is an expert in renewable energy. He has worked with many government agencies and commercial organisations, and was an MLC in the WA Parliament from 2005-09. He is a director of Mt Barker Power Company, and before his appointment to the DCW board was a consultant to the project, advising on finance and capacity building.

Murray Thornton

Murray Thornton BCom UWA, (Acctg, Econ), is a local business owner and farmer, former shire councillor and active local sportsman. He has been a UN Observer for East Timor, is a Life Member of the Denmark Surf Lifesaving Club, and is a director of Surf Lifesaving WA. Murray is a Registered Builder who formerly operated a local building firm, the third generation of his family to do so in Denmark.

Kelli Friar
Kelli Friar BSc (Chem Eng) has more than 25 years' operational and leadership experience in the energy industry, including oil refining, electricity generation / distribution, and environmental management. She currently works for Horizon Power on the future of energy delivery in WA. Kelli served as a non-executive director of the Sustainable Energy Association from 2009-2015.



Jacqueline Bell\
Jacqueline Bell, MA, ACMA, company secretary and administrator, has more than 20 years' experience in finance and management, in the UK and Australia. Her previous positions include financial controller in a major sub-sea and pipeline engineering company, and manager of resource planning (capital projects) at a major university. Jacqueline also owns and operates a local small business.
